Newsletter Privacy Notice

Processing of personal data for our KI-News newsletter, under the Swiss FADP / GDPR

1. Controller

iConference AG, Grafenaustrasse 15, 6300 Zug, Switzerland (commercial register no. CHE-449.862.298, VAT no. CHE-449.862.298 MWST) — [email protected]. This notice applies specifically to our newsletter. Our general privacy policy remains valid in addition.

2. Purpose and legal basis

If you subscribe, we use your email address to send you our newsletter: a weekly, curated digest of AI news. Processing is based solely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; consent under the Swiss FADP and Art. 3(1)(o) of the Swiss Unfair Competition Act). You give this consent voluntarily; you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

3. Double opt-in

After you enter your email address, we send a confirmation email with a link. Your subscription only becomes active once you click that link. This confirms that the address belongs to you and documents your consent. If the link is not clicked, the address is not added to the list.

4. Data processed

5. Processor

The newsletter is sent via MailerLite, an email service provider within the EU, acting as our processor under a data processing agreement. Subscriber data is stored and processed on its infrastructure for the purpose of dispatching the newsletter and providing related statistics.

6. Retention

We process your data until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, we retain the minimum information needed to document your former consent and to honour your unsubscribe request, then delete it.

7. Unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time, free of charge, via the unsubscribe link at the foot of every newsletter, or by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

8. Your rights

To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC).
